About The Artwork
Creating beauty and order out of chaos, it seems to me that starting out with chance is endlessly difficult, and then following it to see where it leads me. Random events are both a catalyst and a guide. Alternation between calculated drawing and marking of gestures; focused exploration and spontaneous experimentation; thoughtful arrangement of colors and impulsive splashes of paint, I explore the balance between the extremes. These pictures, the recording of this dialogue, hinder my innate need to create a desire to elicit a visual response from the viewer.
