Brazil
Brazilian mixed-media artist shaping pop memory, urban decay, and visual archaeology. Working with discarded paper, old book pages, cotton textiles, acrylic paint, and layered visual fragments, he builds surfaces that evoke aged walls, torn posters, graffiti, and traces accumulated over time. His works explore the persistence of beauty within visual noise, bringing together symbolic figures, flowers, astronauts, and weathered urban fragments as images of memory, resilience, and longing. Rather than treating pop culture as decoration, Spin uses it as an archaeological layer, transforming familiar visual codes into poetic fields of tension, nostalgia, and renewal. His imagery has also crossed from the studio wall into the wider visual world — most recently onto a limited-edition Tank Garage Winery label for the "Love and Rockets" red blend — extending his archaeology of pop memory into the objects of everyday ritual. His practice is guided by a desire to create works that uplift, invite reflection and encourage slow contemplation while preserving what is beautiful, true, and enduring.
