Ivan Popoilyk is an artist from the beautiful, picturesque Ukraine. From an early age I realized that my element is creativity in all its manifestations, because all the time I have tried myself in various fields. I love when in front of me a clean canvas is the birth of a new work in which my subconscious and experienced feelings and emotions are present. My story begins in the small village of Dzvynyach in Ivano-Frankivsk region. My mother, who is also an artist, instilled a love for painting. Due to various life circumstances, she could not fully immerse herself in art, so she always supported me in my creative path and wanted me to be a real artist and do what I love. After graduating from the Institute of Kosovo and the V. Stefanyk Precarpathian University, I went to the jewelry industry. During my studies I fell in love with working with metal. At the university we worked not only in the fine arts, but also in the field of decorative arts, it all combined. synthesis of materials and interesting interpretations. Studying opened up unknown horizons for me, in addition to my love for metal, I also loved icons and the geometric concept of works, all of which allowed me to experiment with materials and styles that can convey the essence to the viewer. Working in the art of jewelry has connected me with various mechanical work and computer technology that make work much easier, but I am sure that even if the works flood the world, nothing will replace the creativity and creative thinking that comes from within the artist. Usually the subject of my works are portraits of geometric shapes and lines. I also create various conceptual plot compositions using icon-painting techniques and stylistics that have a philosophical meaning based on a subjective vision of the world around and a lot of interpretation of the composition. Every connoisseur can find something of their own and something in common between the artist and the viewer. Thank you for your attention.
