Whilst he has worked in a wide range of media over the years, Patrick has always been drawn back to painting, with a particular love of acrylics. Whilst his style has changed and developed over time, his consistent and masterful use of colour and layering makes his paintings instantly recognisable and highly desirable, with his work being exhibited widely in the UK and in collections across Europe, America, Asia and Australia. Born in 1949 in the West Midlands, Patrick’s education in the arts took him from Shrewsbury and Cheltenham, then from Birmingham down to London and Canterbury, pursuing Fine Art degrees and post graduate studies in a number of subjects, before settling in Chatham, Kent, where he has lived, worked and raised a family. From 1974 onwards, Patrick has been involved in the field of Art & Design eduction, sharing his expertise and passion for the arts in colleges, universities, adult education and schools. During this time he has always made the emotional, physical and intellectual time to paint and create art.
