About The Artwork
48"x 44"x 1" Acrylic painting on a toothy Gesso surface over a Masonite wood substrate. The color and atmosphere of this painting was inspired by the direct light passing through the thin leaves of the mesquite tree while the sun was low in the sky. Fractured light gave the appearance that tree itself had become an ethereal torch of unearthly hot fire. Cradled on a wood frame with painted edges exposed. Wired and ready to hang.
