About The Artwork
This piece was inspired by the color compliment of orange and blue, my personal favorite color scheme. It is meant to invoke a collision of elements or feelings. When I paint I often feel invigorated and alive, ablaze if you would. In the periods when I am not painting feel unmotivated and cold. This painting represents the moment when the ice is melted by the excitement of a new creation. Mixed media painted on illustration board. The board measures 16" x 20", the painted image is 14 1/2" x 18 1/2" with a 3/4" white border on all sides. This piece is unframed.
