Firstborns are a bit different than the rest of us. There is usually more expectation before everything they do that often results in a variety of wonderful characteristics. My friend is a first-born daughter. I created this warm and loving painting of her hand cradling that of her own first-born daughter and being gripped by the hand of her new and first-born grandchild… a daughter. This work is unframed with finished edges and has a wire threaded through screw eyes inside the frame for hanging flat against a wall.
