«"First Spring in Cariatiz" by AM Pomata is a nuanced portrayal of almond trees in bloom, capturing the essence of a small village in Almería, Southeast Spain. Painted on a Belgium Linen Canvas, the artwork showcases the artist's adept use of a colorful palette and delicate manipulation of light to accentuate the beauty of nature. The depiction of almond trees in bloom resonates with authenticity, as Pomata subtly infuses vibrant hues into the canvas. The careful choice of colors not only conveys the blossoming of spring but also adds a touch of warmth and life to the scene. The artist's commitment to realism is evident, avoiding flamboyance and focusing on the inherent beauty of the almond trees. The use of light in "First Spring in Cariatiz" is particularly noteworthy. Pomata employs a delicate touch to enhance the natural elements, creating a sense of depth and tranquility. The interplay of light and shadow among the blooming almond trees contributes to the overall atmosphere, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in the serenity of the village landscape. Painted in the southeast of Spain, the artwork reflects the unique charm of the Almería region. The artist's portrayal of Cariatiz captures the spirit of the season, inviting viewers to appreciate the subtle beauty of a village awakening in the first blush of spring. The choice of Belgium Linen Canvas adds a tactile dimension to the piece, emphasizing the artist's attention to both visual and textural details.»

A. M. Pomata lives and works by the beautiful coasts of Cabo de Gata Natural Park in the South of Spain. She came to the oil painting as a visitor and settled. What lies between is a passion for the materials involved in the creative process and excitement for the expressive possibilities of the painting. She went into art free of preconceptions and is still learning without them, from realistic techniques to simplicity, concepts, and colors. As time passed, her portfolio grew more colorful and less attached to the existing. Former clinical psychologist, she's known harshness and hideousness, and consciously avoids both in her work to focus on beauty, kindness, and good. Knowing the healing power of beauty on a frail soul, and even more, on a strong one, she tries to add her bit. She approaches every piece as a new attempt to solve a teaser and capture an idea. When she perceives a certain harmony in it, then she's done. She aims to capture reality as she sees it, always towards what it is, with its field of possibilities and hopes, with its magic, and share it with the viewer.
