ABOUT THE ARTWORK
It is a unique, hand made painting of a Pelican in repose. It is e characterized by a long beak and a large throat pouch used for catching prey and draining water from the scooped-up contents before swallowing. Pelicans play an important role in maintaining the balance of the ecological food chain and has been made famous as cartoon characters also.
