Lithuania
I was born in 1986, in Lithuania. I had some projects, with them I worked one after another, or sometimes, I was coming back to the privious. The first were named: “Sacred”. This was an exhibition about moments. Those special ones that get stuck, through which we change, discover ourselves, improve. This were my first personal exhibition, so paintings from a long period of time were exhibited. For me, a artwork is never final, it is finished only for that time, but then it lives its own life, acquires other meanings, sometimes transforms. This happened this time as well, some of the works have already been shown somewhere, with their own stories, but their other meanings are also revealed here. A bed is a very special piece of furniture that contains many meanings, essences, and experiences. From our beginning as living, corporeal beings here, to the end of our lives. That time I was brave and dare to combine seemingly incompatible furniture and meanings. But in this context they fit, it's about the sacred moments, from our initiation, life's quest, ourselves and through ourselves, something, to our deathbed. Searching for God, in oneself and in others. Second: “In search of lost home…” This was a personal continuous painting exhibition. At first it apeared in summer of 2019 year in south Italy, „Pramantha arte“ gallery. It was project about search engines of a self identity. “In search of lost home”, its a try/possibility of finding your home: maybe your inner home, maybe the very essential meaning of the things. To find your identity, the inner strength through painting. Sometimes through the shamanic animal, sometimes through finding beauty in the little casual things, who brings you in to the times of your childhood and to the state of the holiness of being. “In search of lost home” – its a project about existential emptiness and a try to recover yourself, through looking back or creating future at this moment. Its a try of come back to where you even haven‘t been, to the created safe space to be. So when I paint, I try to recreate/(at the same time) create, that space, in which I want to be. Its an exhibition about the temporaryness, memories, intertwined time, under developmented time. Present time, which is collected from memories and from created future motives. “In search of lost home” – its a whole time in present. What I had, what will have, but already are.
