Flora forms like rockets on a stick - Hill End Painting

This work was inspired by Luke Sciberras, during a workshop at Hill End in the former Gold mining town , 4 hours west of Sydney in Australia. I hope the viewers feel a sense of the space, the lightness of the fresh air so far from cities, and surrounded by eucalypts, fresh mountain streams and the cool of the late Autumn morning, We were painting en Plain Air, and acrylic was used for the quick drying facility on site, Pastel was reworked in in the studio later, but the memories of the experience and the sense of freedom, as well as the powerful prescence of nature, space, time, when one spends so much time rushing in the city, this was the blast, the mini rockets of nature.
