Born1950 San Francisco,California,North American and grew up in a small town south of Portland. I aspired to be an artist at a young age. It was at this point I developed a passion for the arts My work has taking me in many different direction and a desire to discovery and invent. This curiosity of inventing and exploring is how we continue the realization of new and provocative visual art. These inventions and discoveries of making art. lead us into the unknown. The artist has to abandon tradition and develop a thought process asking new questions about the way art might be constructed and/or what art is. To apply theories and concepts that are not accepted as art (yet). This is a method in which to explore new paths to take in order to expand what is already embraced. To approach this theory, I am influenced from the world around myself and my own invention from this influence.Whether it be combinations of techniques, styles, materials or concepts; the intention is to create a singular entity or interpretation. This is the bases of my work, an approach to art that is not a single style, technique or concept. It is a method bringing together influences, inventions and challenges to the way we perceive how art is made. The work is not about the development of a mastery of technique repeating itself. It does have a distinctive continuity, allowing for a diversity. It opens new directions in how we express ourselves and a exploration of what transpires, when different thought process work together. It is a method eliminating consistencies and deals with a application that can be confrontational together and create a sense of disorientation and/ or confusion. There is no path to follow for it is ever changing and is in a continuous state of flux and confrontation with it self. It is a non-cohesive approach, reconstructing the visual expression. Provoking options in the way to express an image or emotions within the participants, asking questions to what is acceptable and what is not within ourselves. If we are willing to except a new mystery provoking our thought process, then this confusion can become a new way to express the world around us.
