The Flow series was inspired by the flow of water. In Japan, the flow of water represents a ceaseless continuation of transient changes as written in Hojoki, a Japanese classical literature written by Kamo no Chōmei. The opening sentence of Hojoki is: "The current of the flowing river does not cease, and yet the water is not the same water as before. The foam that floats on stagnant pools, now vanishing, now forming, never stays the same for long. So, too, it is with the people and dwellings of the world."

I translate concepts and suppressed voice into abstract work. Expressing in abstract form feels true to my feelings and emotions that cannot be expressed verbally. My interest in observing viewer's unconscious response evoked by abstract works has inspired me to explore this topic in my own work. My works are held in private collections in the United States, Japan, and Germany.
