This is an imaginative piece inspired by the French painter Ingres' red curtains. I decided to have rich red curtains covering about half of the viewing area, and then flowers against a cloud background. In a sense, its an escapist and slightly surreal piece which is supposed to inspire mental relief into a sense of beauty.

This painting is done with oils on a wood panel and it has been varnished, so it is a glossy surface, with some traces of the wood grains relief showing on the surface. It comes framed too.

I like to paint and draw, and my favorite medium is oil on canvas. I'm constantly trying to understand 'beauty' and all its components. I make artworks that I think(and hope!) will be beautiful. I think through beauty, an artist can share his message. Of course, as an artist, you're 'free' to make anything you want, but for me, I think the first limitation an artist should place on himself is that it should be beautiful. Speaking of palettes, like the family of reds, oranges, and yellows. So, these are the colors that often feature in my paintings, at least for now.
