ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was originally influenced by the writings of Christopher Hitchens. An extremely controversial writer, he took on subjects and positions with such elegance and aggression that reading his work, even if you don't agree with him, will change the way you see the world. While making this painting, Hitchens died of cancer. The painting was originally meant to be a rather traditional portrait. It didn't end that way.
