About The Artwork
After painting something similar for my niece, I wanted to explore this color palette and materiality further. Gathering colors from the objects around her room, the color palette came to fruition and black lines inspired by her love for insects became the spontaneously created painting on raw canvas. I love that these can be mounted in a myriad of ways, and create dramatic shadows if suspended as shown.
