This work on paper is an earlier work and has been exhibited at COCA in St Louis MO. The hand cut, two ply French Paper with netting in between, was gifted to the artist by her brother, a printer. What fun she had working with abandonment creating these luscious free spirited paintings. Following no predetermined design or rules, the artist spread house paint sometimes directly from the can onto the French paper. Sometimes she would use a brush to spread some paint or flick it from the brush. When the paint dried, she used markers and craypas to add additional elements. The artist had a lot of joy creating these free spirited works on paper.

Barb Flunker, lives in St Louis MO, USA, with her husband and two dogs. As a self taught artist, Barb’s powerful abstract paintings, defined by color, movement and texture, draw inspiration from her home, nature and travel. Using her hands and non traditional materials, the artist intuitively spreads the thick, textural oils onto the canvas. The luscious artworks take minimally three months to dry. The artist is grateful to all who have supported her in her artistic journey. Barb’s work is included in the Rick Frimmel/ Gary Werth Collection, the Michael Staenberg Collection and others.
