I had to make a #painting about the current time. The time to fight virus infections and the time to fight for the economy versus #health. #Popart indicates a movement that focuses on the mass culture that arose in the early fifties of the 20th century. The #artmovement originates from England, but today many see Pop art mainly as the art movement that grew in the largest consumer society on earth, the United States of America. This art movement arose from a certain zeitgeist, namely #freedom, sexual revolution and women's empowerment. Themes of pop art are: comics, #advertising, #consumption, #television, #newspapers and #magazines. Pop art is actually the portrayal and glorification of the consumer society. This is done with everyday #images and #objects. the #virus and the struggle to maintain the #economy.
