ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A Victorian couple stroll through Highgate Cemetery, London,England. They are "house hunting" for their forever home. My interest in cemetery's and their occupants inspired me to do this painting. I admire the tomb architecture and the skill with which they were built. I think about how different and how similar their lives versus ours today. the elaborateness with these tombs were erected and decorated show the love the survivors had for the person(s) laid within. Note: the canvas is 16 by 20 inches. the dimensions are with the frame added. Frame is 1 by 2 inch pine.

I have always been conscious of social conditions and the environment around me. I try to reflect my feelings about these issues in my paintings. I feel art, should among other things, stir ones conscious toward issues that impact their fellows.
