ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Without getting too intense in the musculature, I wanted to portray a loose image of a horse in motion. Using mostly lines and large brush strokes this image evolved and accomplished what I had set out to do. The canvas has considerable weight due to the many layers and texture applied.. The ground has extreme texture, adding to the implied movement and energy of the subject! It is finished with a gloss varnish for protection as well as keeping the contemporary feel.
