The picture “Free Yourself” was inspired by a quote from Haruki Murakami, a well-known Japanese novelist, short-story writer, and translator: “Unclose your mind. You are not a prisoner. You are a bird in fight, searching the skies for dreams.”

This is an original, one-of a kind artwork painted in impasto technique using palette knife and thickened acrylic paints. This technique not only creates a three-dimensional impression, but it also adds a richness and dramatic effect to the artwork. Dimensions of the picture: 24 x 20 x 0.6 in. Painted on canvas. Vanished. Signed on the front.

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The painting “Free Yourself” was inspired by a quote from Haruki Murakami, a well-known Japanese novelist: “Unclose your mind. You are not a prisoner. You are a bird in flight, searching the skies for dreams.” In creating this piece, I plunged into the raw, vivid depths of emotion and spontaneity. Each stroke and color chosen embodies a burst of energy and a whisper of tranquility, intertwining chaos with harmony. I aimed to capture the essence of freedom and the wild, untamable spirit of nature. This artwork is a celebration of resilience, meant to energize any space it inhabits and inspire the viewer to embrace the unpredictability of life. The piece is created in impasto technique, using a palette knife and thickened acrylic paint, that give artwork a textured three-dimensional quality. Vanished. Signed on the front. The painting "Free Yourself" was selected for Las Laguna Art Gallery’s 2021 ‘OPEN THEME’ show October 7-31, 2021 and for "Believe - 2021" exhibition November 20 - December 20, 2021,  organized by Gallerium and powered by Biafarin platform.
