Inspired on the Legend of the Ceibo Flower Long ago, in the land that is now Argentina, there was a Guaraní woman named Anahí. She was not known for her beauty but for her bravery and her songs. Anahí loved to sing, and her melodies told the story of her people, their hopes, and their struggles. One day, invaders came to the land, and many of Anahí's people were captured or killed. She was taken prisoner by the Spanish conquerors. However, Anahí refused to be broken. One night, she managed to escape from her captors, killing a guard in the process. Her freedom was short-lived, as she was soon recaptured. As punishment for killing the guard, the Spaniards decided to burn her at the stake. Anahí accepted her fate with courage, knowing that her spirit would remain with her people. As the flames began to consume her, something magical happened. Instead of turning to ash, Anahí transformed into a beautiful tree. The next morning, in the place where she had been, a bright red flower bloomed — the ceibo flower, symbolizing the spirit of the Guaraní people and their resistance. From that day forward, the ceibo flower became a symbol of strength, courage, and the unbreakable spirit of those who fight for their freedom. It is now the national flower of Argentina, representing the endurance and beauty of its people. This is a popular version of the ceibo flower legend, which explains why it holds such cultural significance in Argentina. Such is the difference in the places I have lived, that my paintings reflect true contrasts." Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with studies in Engineering, she moved to Madrid in her youth where she began to paint. Self-taught at the beginning. She lived in various countries, such as Denmark, France, and South Africa, whose diversity gave her a broader vision of the world. Thanks to this broader vision, her styles and paintings diversified. Her first paintings of nature and landscapes are influenced by French Impressionist painting. Later, attracted by the African savannah, she painted landscapes and some wild animals. Urban landscapes also play an important role. "I love cities, probably because I was born and raised in one." She also experiments with material painting, creating textured abstract works where marine tones predominate. "I am struck by the colors and light of different places. I like people to see them through my eyes, evoking some memory of travels or distant places."
