“The contemporary artistic situation provides unlimited possibilities for a painter since no external barriers exist in selecting the plastic language. He may choose from any varieties of fine arts which extend from the traditional methods up to every possible direction of the days we are living in. In this situation it is particularly noticeable that, on the one hand, the language of arts is still a way of delivering thoughts, and those fine substances which we mark as emotions, feelings and the whiffles of soul. But without filling it with energy, without sincere faith any artistic language will be just a collection of methods. On the other hand it is the selection of the artistic system with the help of which a painter can express his personality and find his own peculiar “language”.
