Full Circle Painting

Full Circle is an entrancing abstract painting that draws the viewer in, captivating them with layers of vibrant blues, gleaming golds, and soft whites. Its energetic brushstrokes and shapes provide a sophisticated, tasteful, and exclusive atmosphere, perfect to elevate any space. My paintings have a history within them. I build layer after layer of mark-making, paint strokes, and glazes, covering and discovering with each layer. This creates richness and depth. Every time you look at this painting, you discover more. To create my paintings, I start with automatic drawing with graphite to activate the canvas. Then my first layer of paint, followed by mark-making, Reacting to what I see on the canvas, I start another layer of paint. Turning the canvas to get a different view, another layer is added. Automatic drawing with oil pastels, crayon, charcoal, and graphite is followed by veiling parts and emphasizing other parts. I rotate the canvas again and again until many layers have been added, continually checking for values and composition until the painting is complete.
