GLORIOUS H48"XW24"XD2"
acrylic with resin on canvas
Grey, wood floater frame H49.25"XW25.25"XD2.5"

I never start a painting with a plan. I hug the canvas before me, bow my head in reverence and kiss it. Then I start.

This painting is laboriously and distinctively textured. Each bump and groove spoke to me. I followed. As I intensively scraped at these layers I emulated the power and indiscriminate weathering of Mother Nature’s elements. I used my fingers, sticks, palette knives and large brushes.

It is full of healing and grounding energy. Every time I picked up my brush to continue painting it over the months, I got so lost (in a good way) on my journey across its canvas. I felt complete and alive in its GLORIOUS green tones while creating this piece, no other thoughts in my mind but the rhythm of my brush. A memory of the breathtaking Canadian wilderness that I grew up in while canoe tripping is embedded in the paint layers. The call of the loon on a misty morning, the moose staring us down through the marsh as we entered his domain. This painting's iridescent qualities are mesmerizing as your eyes flow down its length bringing joy and rejuvenation to its viewer.

Thank you for considering to collect my works.

Proudly Canadian. My studio in Toronto, Canada. I paint distinctively textured abstracts and landscape abstracts. Acrylic sealed with Resin on canvas or wood panels. I am happiest in Mother Nature. She has been my art teacher; Memories of paddling 46 days on canoe trip in the Canadian wilderness, extensive travels and the motherhood all find their way onto my canvas.
