Rediscovering her love for painting during the lockdown, Christa found a new way to express her creativity. Her art is a testament to resilience, renewal, and the transformative power of creativity. ARTIST STATEMENT: Lately, the ink technique has me entirely captivated and in love. Just like Jazz, it demands deep listening and presence. This technique is about making swift, intuitive decisions. The improvisational aspect is its enchantment for me. Music is my auditory channel, while painting is my visual one. The concept remains the same. One of my greatest inspirations is Mother Earth. Nature is the ultimate artist. I immerse myself in it, listening deeply, and then translate it into my own language. I paint from intuition. I paint the invisible and translate the colors. Art and music are essential to me; without them, there is no life. They guide me through any kind of weather.
