Gala Dinner Painting

My artwork is generally fashion art, illustration and portraiture. My focus is mostly women - women wearing fashion I love. My style is dominated by silhouettes, light and shade, and negative space – so there is less focus on background detail. My love for art comes from my grandfather who was a painter and decorator who restored churches in Italy. My own father followed in his footsteps so I’ve always been fascinated by traditional art. From a young age I relished art class at school and exploring galleries – there’s something so calming and inspiring about viewing other artist’s works. My home is my studio. A busy family life means I have to take advantage of every opportunity so my dedicated spare room gives me the flexibility to be able to illustrate and paint at any time of day or night. Fashion photography and designers are my main source of inspiration through magazines, fashion shows and social media. I’ve developed a particular style yet I’m always looking for the next artistic challenge to develop further as an artist. I'm passionate about what I create and I can only hope that clients and people who see my work can appreciate that. I like to think that my artistic interpretation offers a sense of originality and style, transforming fashion into works of art.
