ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Living by the sea I love boats of all kinds, older craft in particular. Galway hookers were used for transporting goods, especially coal around the coast of ireland, thankfully many have survived and are used as pleasure boats. Of late I have been using ink pigment and found that it made a good medium for my style of painting.

I was born in London around a hundred years ago, (seems like that),I have done many things,ran a betting shop in Brick Lane in the East end of London in the early 70's, then moved to Ireland where I ran betting shops in Cork City.Settled in a small fishing village called Ballycotton in East Cork where I ran a restaurant and the local shop and post office and started painting around 30 years ago.Turned professional in 2005 when I moved into a studio in the Shanagarry Design Centre, close to where I live, where I paint every day as well as run art classes. Over the years I have had several exhibitions and have paintings in collections throughout Ireland as well as Europe and North America.
