Katarzyna Mruczek was born in Gdańsk where she lives and works. Her favourite style is abstraction. She prefers new, undefined forms and shapes over attempts to photograph the reality. She focuses on developing new worlds in her art. Katarzyna constantly strives for compositional perfection and harmony. Seemingly detached elements search for a consonance and a common denominator. The power of Katarzyna’s art lies in non-figurative means of expression, such as original colour combinations, brush marks, texture. She is fascinated by the interplay of colour and light. During her creative work, she is accompanied by literature, often being one of her unconscious inspirations. Katarzyna’s interests include architecture and design, art history and musical performance. 1st place in the KronoSwiss Interior Design Competition for a glamour-style project. (2017)
