Gantha Painting

Gantha in Pali means body ties and it is everything that imprisons us in the body - our desires, greed, love, attachment to beautiful things, aversion to ugly things, but also opinions, views and conditions. Everything that we can associate with the word me or mine is an obstacle and a chain that binds to the body. The practice is to loosen these ties and ultimately to free oneself completely from the weight of the body, without abandoning it, without annihilation, without depreciation, without aversion. The body becomes a place where consciousness resides, and this place, like any other place, is just a process where we perceive a continuous cycle of arising and ceasing. There is nothing permanent about it, it is just a continuous natural process. This artwork is painted on canvas stretched on wooden frame. I was using professional oil-colours with premium quality colour pigments that have high resistance to fading. Sides are continuously painted, so there is no need to frame. The picture is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity and ready for wall mounting. The work of art will be professionally carefully packed, shipped and insured.
