ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A large abstract expressionist painting with textured, multiple layers of paint; typically between 12 and 18 layers to get the vibrant effect that I want. This is a painting where you can get lost in the the wilderness of colour, which includes vivid colours of blue, mauve,orange and green. Inspiration is drawn from favourite expressionist artists such as Jackson Pollock and Milton Resnick The Painting is on plywood which is backed with a timber support frame made with professional quality joinery. The board is first sealed, the edges are black and the painting is finished with layers of protective varnish. Heavy duty "D" rings and cord are attached so that the painting is ready to hang.
