Gdanski Station Painting

This work is inspired b the visit of David Bowie in Wsarsaw in 1976. I tried to imagine how it could look like to him - a grey communist city. But it had tobe also interesting if he choose to make a walk during the short stopover at the station, buy records and later write a song Warszawa..... You can find the whole story here: Now I live near this station and see it day by day. All my memories about this place are like layers of images and emotions. The station doesent look or looked the way I painted it even if it is based on photographs of Warsaw from 60s and 70s from my family album...
