ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting started as four smaller paintings on thick paper taped together. The original paintings were done in 2011/2012 and sat in my closet until I moved. Upon discovery, I laid them out until they worked together. I then painted over them, using layer after layer of different shapes and techniques, sometimes letting the layers bleed through, and other times, completely obscuring the original paintings.
