About Emily Vonlukestein "Emily" - Milus is an internationally active artist. She completed several art trainings: in Germany - Mannheim, Heidelberg (1978 - 1982) she devoted herself to classical lessons with a focus on background painting and glaze technique. In Sweden - Stockholm (1984 - 1986) it was the impulses of surrealist painting that she pursued a few years later - and finally she studied Byzantine technique for several years in Greece - Athen, Kreta Heraklion (1990 - 1996). Later, in Germany - Karlsruhe (1999 - 2001), she expanded her artistic knowledge in the field of multimedia. Her works are always of a profound nature. "Already in my childhood I was fascinated by philosophical metaphysics and the thoughts of natural philosophers. This fascination has decisively shaped my life, respectively my artistic existence". The works are often situational, but the themes are always based on a strong and stable foundation. Like everything else, reflection is constantly changing. Time and space are often insignificantly important in her works - and yet movement through these two archaic phenomena does not only determine the forthcoming brushstroke. Milus always leaves her interpretation to art lovers, because as her works are individual, so may the viewer's apperception remain individual. The extraordinary artist has realized numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. Many of her works are in private collections. More:
