Hello guys! My name is Elena Polak and I'm an artist. My second education is as a psychologist. And I like to dive into myself and experience emotions, capturing them on canvases. I like Studying and working with the unconscious, this is how the collection of works was born "Mystical worlds of the unconscious". And I am still replenishing it. The theme of my work is analyzing feelings and emotions. I attempt to express them with colors and images. I draw feelings. For me, art is a way to talk while being silent. A way to shout across continents, and sometimes, without going beyond my art studio, to cross borders. Art admits no borders, they don't exist. My work is an opportunity to talk to people and be understood without even knowing their language. Creativity is my freedom. It’s freedom of soul and body. Art is not just a reflection of reality. It can create its own reality. Don't think that you understand nothing (very little). The point is to experience the sensations caused by the work of art. In our world full of stress, we haven't looked inside ourselves for so long that sometimes we hide our feelings deep inside until it becomes a problem. In my work, I try to show that it's okay to have feelings. I study all facets of feelings and sensations, listening to society and myself, looking deep inside myself and getting the most secret feelings, emotions and, experiences. I try to avoid precise images in my work, simplify forms and often use silhouettes, convey emotions through colors, leaving room for imagination and let the viewer feel and accept the painting. I am inspired by life itself, by the diversity and interweaving of emotions and situations whether they are negative or positive. Life is beautiful and it is the most valuable gift we have ever received.
