About The Artwork
Descending the western ridge of Mt Tallac further into the Desolation Wilderness provides this amazing view of the alpine mountain landscape near Lake Tahoe. The peaks are usually covered in snow until mid-summer. I painted in studio based on a reference photo taken during a day-hike of peak bagging. This scene inspired me to begin painting again after many years working in the business world.
