My work is the result of a deep exploration of nature’s inspiring elements, which I translate into vibrant, colorful, and personality-filled watercolor paintings. My creative process involves immersing myself in diverse landscapes, ecosystems, and natural phenomena, absorbing every detail and infusing them into my art. Two defining characteristics of my work are the intense use of color and geometric composition. I transform static and rigid forms, such as squares and triangles, into dynamic and fluid arrangements that invite the viewer's gaze to explore every corner of the painting. These shapes, paired with bold, harmonious colors, create a sense of movement and life, making each piece an invitation to journey into a world of wonder. From an early age, I was drawn to art, starting my journey as a self-taught artist in drawing and watercolor painting. Over time, my work evolved to include not only watercolor on paper but also geometric forms that I cut and layer to form puzzle-like compositions. My fascination with the relationship between geometric shapes led me to study architecture, a discipline that profoundly influences my artistic practice. Architecture informs my precision, mathematical approach to composition, and my appreciation for vibrant colors, as seen in the works of Antoni Gaudí. I am also inspired by artists such as Alfredo Volpi, whose brilliant use of geometric compositions and vibrant colors rooted in Brazilian culture resonate deeply with me. Through my art, I strive to blend these influences with my personal perspective, creating works that bridge the structural with the organic. One of my ongoing series, "Ladies", offers a subtle lens on scenes of everyday femininity. This collection features monochromatic watercolors of women captured in moments of introspection and pause. Without emphasizing facial features, these figures invite viewers to project themselves into the portrayed women, creating a space for reflection and empathy. This series highlights the quiet, contemplative moments amidst the demands of daily life, celebrating silence and self-awareness. Ultimately, my work seeks to convey more than aesthetic beauty—it aims to foster an emotional and spiritual connection with the natural world and the inner self. Each painting represents an intimate dialogue between me and my surroundings, inviting viewers to journey into the imagined realms I create and find their own sense of wonder and connection.
