About The Artwork
The artist, here, has given himself a new challenge in collage of papers in shades of blue. Tearing papers is a real child’s pleasure which leads the artist to compose differently. The tears made by hand and not with scissors bring a natural gesture. The challenge of contrasts and harmonies between the different papers was a great struggle. The white is very strong and very present and gives the desired contrast. The coldness of the blues has been lessened by vertical lines of a warm red, which, in turn, give perspective to the whole. Unique and handmade Japanese Chyiogami papers are used in this composition. The work is varnished and painted on the sides in black,
