Artist Biography of Ken Moore Dear friends, my name is Ken Moore and I am a watercolor landscape artist from Carefree, Arizona. I enjoy painting desert scenes with cactus, mountains, lakes streams and sunsets of the Sonoran Desert, Sedona and the Grand Canyon. I spent most of my life in New Hampshire, painting New England scenes of mountains, forest, lakes, Fall foliage and the rocky coast of Maine. As an avid skier, many of my New England paintings were snow screens from ski slopes. My formal training was done at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. That training was supplemented with many watercolor Instructional videos by master artists. I love bright transparent colors applied to nature’s scenes under different lighting conditions. I offer both open and limited edition prints as well as custom framed originals. Since moving to Carefree Arizona, more than 12 years ago, I have painted many beautiful desert scenes in my town of Carefree and the Valley of the Sun. Carefree is just north of Scottsdale and borders the Tonto National Forest. My home studio is in the desert foothills with mountain views and towering Saguaros in every direction. So much to paint. I hope you find a scene that fits well in your home or office or as a gift for a special friend. My past employment includes playing bass guitar in a rock band during my high school and college years. I worked for the next 20 years as a manufacturing engineer and as a director for computer graphics companies. I moved into sales in the 1990’s and sold 3D Visualization Software until I retired in 2021, I went from my corporate sales job to “Ken Moore Watercolors”. It feels like I never stopped working. Having worked for companies based in Norway, England, Japan, France and the USA, I got to travel extensively. My customers consisted of large corporate research and manufacturing companies, National Government Labs as well as Universities and Hospitals plus major pharmaceutical companies. Now in my mid-seventies, I enjoy traveling around in the southwest and painting the scenes that bring me inspiration. Ken Moore
