Every spring and summer, I visit the Chicago Botanic Gardens to get inspired, and it has never disappointed me. These beautiful azaleas were bathing in the morning sun and shining like gold. I loved the play of light and shadow on the delicate yellow petals and wanted to capture that bright luminous vision that was just asking to be portrayed in paint! This is an original watercolor painting on Arches 140 lb. cold press paper. It comes signed on the front bottom corner. Unframed painting size: 12 x 16 in.
