Specializing in portraiture, she uses it to explore the complexities of human experience, particularly the feeling of estrangement while being shaped by one's environment. Her work invites viewers to form their own psychological interpretations of her vibrant, imaginative world. Papini earned her MFA from the New York Academy of Art in 2019, refining her skills in historical painting techniques to express a contemporary language.
