Colourful Abstract Landscape Painting, Original artwork created by Saroja van der Stegen. This is a one of a kind artwork, created and painted by me. I always sign my work on the front of each painting. This artwork is painted with professional quality oil paint mainly using the pallet knife on canvas. This painting is painted in Portugal. It is inspired by the beautiful landscapes and countryside of the Alentejo after the rains when all is green. I love experimenting with colours, express my feelings, it is like music: expressing inner emotion, it does not need to represent the real world. I am always fascinated by nature, that is why you find elements of nature in my work. It is a spontaneous, emotional, vibrant creation. A play of colours. This painting is framed in a simple floating wooden frame, skilful made with a natural structure and a light patina grey-greenish colour, which adapts to every interior. Ready to hang. It will be packed in a specially made box from plywood or hardboard and shipped secure and handled with the biggest care. As long as I remember I have been interested in art, in drawing and colouring. After a lot of travelling and life experiences I started full time painting in India in 1988 with oil paint and the pallet-knife experimenting with colours in abstract mostly canvas paintings who often turn out as landscapes, seascapes, clouds or cosmic vibrations. Some are very vibrant, emotional, with strong colours, others are just very quiet monochromes with shades of one tone, all creating a certain feeling or atmosphere. Being as well a musician it is in my art like in music expressing inner emotion without representing the real world. Many of my paintings are a dream world, the world I would love to live in. A memory of ancient prehistoric times, I have had exhibitions in many different countries like India, France, Holland, Germany, USA, Australia, Spain and Portugal. My paintings are with collectors in India, France, Holland, North Korea, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Australia, USA, UK, Norway, Spain and Portugal. Saroja's paintings are represented in different private collections of art in India, France, Holland, South Korea, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Australia, USA, UK, Norway, Spain and Portugal. And her work is represented in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Sa Pobla, Majorca, Spain.
