Alona Bogachenko is a Ukrainian contemporary artist based in Spain whose work explores emotional resonance through watercolor abstraction, flowing organic forms, and meditative color relationships. Born near Odessa, Ukraine, Alona has been drawing for as long as she can remember. Although she originally received an education in economics, art remained a constant inner calling. Over the years, she explored various techniques, materials, workshops, and artistic practices, gradually developing an intuitive visual language centered around color, movement, and emotional perception. Working primarily with watercolor on cotton paper, she creates organic abstract compositions inspired by inner states, nature, energy, and the subtle relationship between color and human experience. While watercolor remains her main medium, her artistic practice also includes acrylics, oils, ceramics, and mixed media experimentation. Her ongoing series “Color Therapy” focuses on creating calm, harmonious visual spaces that invite reflection, softness, and emotional connection. The series also became the foundation for the published metaphoric card deck “Facets of My Soul”. Alona believes that art is a universal language capable of connecting people beyond words and cultural boundaries. Today, her artworks are part of private collections across Europe, including Ukraine, Germany, Spain, and Lithuania. Through her work, she hopes to bring beauty, emotional depth, and a sense of quiet inner dialogue into contemporary spaces.
