Fabio Fontana, aka GOS, is a visual artist who works primarily with painting, printmaking, and recycled materials. The core themes expressed in his works are nature (countering an anthropocentric view of modern man), space, and time (as fundamental conditions for bridging the gap between nature and the individual body). Many of Fabio Fontana's projects find the ocean as a litmus test for measuring the human condition. His painting works aim to establish a dialogue with the nature that surrounds us, transforming it into a broader symbolic framework, a rhythmic tension, an autonomous construction. His prints are often ancestral symbols, a reference to primordiality. In all his projects, the meditative component combines with rhythmic tension. Repeated gestures become harmony, and space and time become further elements of the language expressed by Fontana's works.
