About The Artwork

This work was inspired by the BP Gulf oil disaster. My family lives right on the Gulf of Mexico and they were directly affected by the oil ruining the beaches and killing the wildlife. I want viewers feel a sense of hope in spite of the tragedy. My work involves drawing many tiny marks on top of watercolor and ink washes.
