About The Artwork

"Gulls in Amsterdam" is a painting that captures the essence of Amsterdam's scenic charm. The focal point of the artwork is a magnetic yellow sky that bathes the entire scene in a warm, atmospheric glow. It portrays a dynamic moment with a flock of seagulls gracefully soaring across the canvas, their wings outstretched in flight. The backdrop features a row of typical Dutch houses, each characterized by their distinct architecture, lining one of the picturesque canal streets of the old city. The houses are showcasing the iconic gabled facades that contribute to Amsterdam's unique skyline. The combination of the yellow sky and the flying seagulls are intending to create a sense of movement and freedom. "Gulls in Amsterdam" is a celebration of the city's distinctive character, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the enchanting atmosphere of this Dutch city.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I am a Swiss artist from the region of Fribourg, Western Switzerland. The cubist representation of urban and industrial subjects in the artworks of the American painters Charles Sheeler, Charles Demuth and partially Edward Hopper, influenced me a lot at the time, making me approach this artistic style. Since then the city and nature, in all its forms, remains a great source of inspiration for me. Through my artworks, I exploit the figurative and graphic style close to abstraction but also realism. Oil paint is the essential material I use for my creations, in some cases I use other media and techniques such as acrylic, ink, charcoal, collage and screen printing.
