Hammamet harbour Painting

From the Medina of Hammamet, it is easy to reach the old port with its colourful traditional fishing boats. Here it smells fresh fish and diesel from engines more or less defective. The old boats, too tired, rest on the beach under a sunset with shimmering colors. In this work, I captured the vibrant essence of the coast with deep and bold colors, characteristic of Fauvism and Impressionism. The oil allowed me to mix the shades so that the blazing sky reflected in the rough sea, creating a striking contrast with the peaceful boats.
