This illustration is not a direct quote from the text of the Grimm Brothers fairy tale, but a creative rethinking with reference to the text of the fairy tale. The painting depicts modern children who fell asleep listening to a fairy tale, and fell into a fairy world like Hansel and Gretel. Others require focused attention, contemplation, rational approach.
