Happiness permeating pain Painting

Inspired by analyzing my own feelings in art therapy, this painting depicts the permeation of happiness into enduring pain. Without preconceived emotions, I translate broad feelings into a representation drawn from personal experiences. Pain manifests in various forms, but joy and happiness gradually penetrate our minds and bodies. Yellow symbolizes life, breath, and happiness, while descending circular particles represent the life force—the secret energy that sustains us. Happiness doesn't solve all our problems; blue represents sadness, black signifies the depths of heartache, and red represents different types of pain. Green represents hope, forgiveness, and comfort, attempting to reconcile negativity. These emotional blends exist within us, and as we navigate life, we seek equilibrium and replace negativity with positivity. Our current existence encompasses pain, sadness, and despair, but also happiness, comfort, and revitalization. I aim for viewers to feel happiness flowing through their bodies, gradually overshadowing sadness, pain, and emptiness. While happiness and the life force permeate our hearts, stomachs, and spines, they don't eliminate all pain. Instead, they begin to influence these areas in our bodies and minds. To create a daylight and UV version, I combined fluorescent and traditional acrylic paints. While reproductions may not capture this effect, the original offers multiple views: daylight, blue light, and UV light. These represent processes within our bodies and conscious/unconscious minds. I used my fingers, brushes, and palette knife to infuse the painting with personal depth, vibrancy, and movement—reflecting the essence of our bodies. I hope you enjoy this painting!
