When I feel I've overworked a canvas, I start eliminating what I don't want on the canvas by deductive painting. I often end up with a result that could not have happened intentionally and I like that. That's why I call myself the "accidental artist".

I am a self taught artist. I started painting seriously in 2016. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I spent several years living part time in Los Cabos, Mexico. Today I divide my time between Houston and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Until 2012, I worked for several years doing graphic design for our privately owned software company. My artwork is often a reflection of myself or of my dear friends. The women have a feminine quality, sensuality and glamour. Some of the work are reflections of the past, feelings of love and loss. Each one contains part of me in them. Generally when I approach a new canvas it's an experimental process. But I love being fearless with color and it leads me to new places. It's the process of chasing the perfection that never really happens that keeps me going.
